Denver welcomes OVI conference
It’s getting closer …… and very exciting…..
I’m thinking about workshops and sessions that the conference is offering this year and how they relate to questions and issues here at home. Lyric Opera of Chicago has multi support groups that all have different rules, different personalities and different ways of serving our opera company. They all find themselves with the same issues that face individual and support group volunteers all over the United States and Canada.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to share information: successes, failures, suggestions, experiences, advice and encouragement. I’m making up a list of issues and questions that relate to Technology Tips and Techniques, Staffing Gift Shops, Marketing Support Groups, Fundraising, and Keeping our Group in Business among others. I expect to come home with some useful answers and ideas after listening to programs and communicating with all the delegates who volunteer for opera companies of all sizes.
I wish you would make up a list of your own and join us in Denver and Central City July 19 - 22!
