Opera Volunteers International is proud to honor Individual and Support Group Members who help further its goals with outstanding contributions to opera in their communities.
President’s Volunteer Service Award
OVI is an Official Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award, an initiative of the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. It will be awarding Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and certificates based on a range of volunteer hours of service. Members will be invited to recommend candidates.
Partners In Excellence
Opera Volunteers International’s long established program honors its members’ most valuable volunteers and/or the important milestones in their orgainzation’s history. It recognizes recommended and vetted individuals for their exceptional contribution to opera and honors support groups for completing outstanding projects and attaining special goals.
Projects Of Merit
OVI has recognized excellent programs created and implemented by volunteers for many years with its “Resource Competition” and “Resource Showcase” awards. Members are now encouraged to submit successfully completed projects to the”Projects of Merit” program. After blind judging, entries may earn award certificates, invitations to participate in OVI Focus Meetings or Conferences and possible inclusion in the “Good Ideas” Booklet series.
